Players had to make a big decision regarding their future this past Saturday. Now that the list is final, here is the mock draft from NBADraft.net.

Some players decided to return to college to get one more year of experience. Here are two teams that were helped a lot by players who decided not to go pro.

This, on the other hand, is an article about one player who could completely turn a team around if drafted.

Now that the final decisions have been made, here is a projection of the upcoming NCAA basketball season. Can Duke defend its title?

We’ve heard a lot about John Wall, but here is a look at some players who may be flying under the radar. Teams would be lucky to snag these players on draft night.

The NCAA announced that the tournament will increase to 68 teams, rather than the initially anticipated 96 teams. Read Dana O’Neill’s take on the decision.

Most critics are happy about the modest three-team increase to the tournament. Apparently coaches don’t share the same sentiment. Here’s what the Fanhouse has to say about coaches’ reactions.

Along with the three new teams, Charles Barkley may also be joining the tournament.

Now that we’ve looked ahead, let’s take a look back at the last decade. Out of the six biggest conferences, these are Rivals.com’s selections for the best players, coaches and teams of the decade.

The NBA Draft is only a few weeks away and players are staring to throw their hats into the ring.

Here is a list of players entering the draft and predictions about how they’ll fare.

Sports Illustrated’s Paul Daugherty’s article criticizes the draft, saying that some players enter too early because they are tempted by the allure of being a professional player.

Final Four starlet Gordon Hayward has entered the draft but will not hire an agent. See what Rival’s says about Butler’s future with or without Hayward.

See an updated mock draft from DraftExpress.com. The draft is continuously updated and will probably fluctuate as players continue to enter the draft.

For the first time in 9 years the Duke Blue Devils are the NCAA Basketball Champions. The game was close and the finish was one for the books.

Visit the NCAA Web site for all the latest coverage and post game interviews. All the statistics and commentary you can image can be found at this site.

Butler had two chances at a last second upset on shots from sophomore star Gordon Hayward. The world held its collective breath as two shots narrowly missed the basket within the final seven seconds of the game.

This site will give you a taste of the tournament and the final game all through photos.

Sports Illustrated columnist Joe Posnanski’s article sums up the drama and emotion that was wrapped up in the final game of the 2009-2010 basketball season.

Watch the 2010 One Shining Moment video.

Just as quickly as the buzzer sounds, experts begin looking toward the next step, the next season. Read what Eamonn Brennan of ESPN has to say about the “Top 10 storylines for offseason”. Who will be the team to beat next year? Where will the coaching carousel take people? Will the NCAA Tournament expand to 96 teams? Brennan has your answers.

With 5 minutes to tip-off, there are many different opinions about who and what will win the NCAA Championship.

Read what the ESPN experts have to say. How can Butler pull off the upset? How will home court advantage play into the game? Who will win?

It’s a David and Goliath match up. Click here to watch a plethora of yahoosports.com videos on the game, the background of each team and pregame conferences.

Keep track of this blog throughout the game as basketball expert Andy Glockner of Sports Illustrated details the game, the key players and the questions that will arise as the game plays out.

Enjoy!

by Amy McLeod
April 1, 2010

You better believe that coaches and staff of NBA teams are watching the NCAA tournament with great interest. After all, the players that they select to become a part of their teams are (mostly) all playing in the tournament. The hectic schedule and high-caliber games are a good indication of how those players will do once they make it to professional level.

This is simply a mock draft from NBADraft.net. Keep an eye on it as the final games in the tournament are played and see if there is any movement.

In the weeks leading up to the draft, there will be many stories like this one about Al-Farouq Aminu of Wake Forest.

One spot that is almost certainly secured is the #1 pick. It is widely accepted that the Kentucky freshman sensation, John Wall, will be selected first by the New Jersey Nets.

Along with awaiting the NBA Draft, the Wooden Award will also be presented in the coming weeks. On April 9, one player will receive the prestigious award. The finalists for the award include Jon Scheyer and Da’Sean Butler, both of whom are playing in the Final Four.

The games are fun, but there is great anticipation to see what will happen after the final buzzer rings in Indianapolis.

by Amy McLeod
March 28, 2010

After nearly two weeks of basketball, the NCAA Tournament has been narrowed down to four remaining teams. The Final Four consists of: #5 Michigan State from the Midwest Region, #2 West Virginia from the East, #1 Duke from the South and #2 Butler from the West.

Here are reactions to the Michigan State win from ESPN columnist Pat Forde. As last year’s runners-up, the Spartans have a lot to play for this time in Indianapolis.

The Butler Bulldogs are the hometown favorites this year as the campus is located about five miles from where the games will take place. This is Mark Schlabach’s take on Butler’s win over Kansas State. This could be a Cinderella story.

West Virginia defeated the seemingly unbeatable Kentucky. This article from Sports Illustrated details how it was done and how the Mountaineers must continue to play if they have a shot at the title.

The only remaining #1 seed, the Duke Blue Devils, are returning to the Final Four for the first time since 2004. Andy Staples of Sports Illustrated explains how Duke made it to the Final Four.

Watch here as Dick Vitale gives his take on the top players to watch on the remaining four teams.

This Final Four has it all. The second chance hopeful. The hometown hero. The David and Goliath story. And the one we love to hate.
